Chardon was first settled as a pioneer town in the late 17 to mid-1800’s and is the county seat of Geauga County, Ohio. It is located about 10 miles south of Lake Erie and within the “snow belt” of the Great Lakes. The addition of the Lake Trail and Pennsylvania State Railroads helped the rapid growth of the town and the city of Chardon is now home to over 5000 residents and many businesses.
